Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended one-day workshop organized by Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board regarding plastic waste management rules on February 17. While addressing the event, he said that plastic waste is a big challenge. To overcome this challenge, plastic waste recycling technology needs to be developed with modern technology. During the event, Dhami said “I appreciate the one-day workshop organised by the Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board regarding plastic waste management rules. It will help Himalayan states in becoming better places. Balancing both ecology and economy is also important. Plastic waste coming out of homes, industries, hotels, restaurants has become a big challenge for us. To meet this challenge, we need to develop plastic waste recycling technology with modern technology.”
