NDRF DIG Mohsen Shahedi spoke to ANI on the deployment of NDRF personnel in several states getting rains during the monsoon. While interacting with ANI, he revealed many teams have been deployed and are collaborating with IMD to forecast the upcoming situation. When asked about the number of teams deployed in various states, he stated, "There are fifteen teams deployed in Punjab, twelve in Uttarakhand, and fifteen in Himachal Pradesh." Our teams are constantly conducting rescue operations and are also providing relief material." The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) rescued five people from an inundated house as the Beas River is in spate in Charudu village, Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday appealed to people of the state to stay home for the next 24 hours amid the possibility of heavy rains in the state during the period. As an intense spell of monsoon rain continued over the northwestern Himalayan region on Saturday and Sunday morning, numerous roads were blocked and several people were stuck due to landslides.In Uttarakhand, Badrinath National Highway was closed due to a landslide near Chhinka and NH-9 was closed in the Kumaon division at Champawat. In Punjab, Derabassi assembly constituency of Mohali district witnessed waterlogging due to incessant rains for the last two days.A flood-like situation was seen in Derabassi as the areas along the Ghaggar River were flooded.
