NTA To Hold Re-Exam For CUET-UG 2026 Candidates Affected By Tech Glitch
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has said that candidates affected by a technical glitch during CUET (UG) 2026 will be given another opportunity to appear for the exam. The agency stated that the disruption caused distress to some candidates who had completed biometric registration and were present at centres on May 30 during Shift-I but could not finish their examination. NTA confirmed that CUET UG 2026 faced disruptions at several centres due to a technical issue reported by service provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The agency said the problem has been resolved and exams are being conducted with compensatory time. Nearly 95% of 73,000 candidates completed the test, while around 3,765 candidates left before resumption and will be given a rescheduled exam. TCS has been asked to submit a root-cause analysis report.
