MP: Farmer drinks poison in front of govt officers during eviction drive

A farmer and his wife drank poison in front of administrative and police officials when the team tried to remove them from government land. The farmer couple and their family members say that they have been farming on this piece of land since the last many years, and this year too they had taken loan of lakhs of rupees to sow the crop. However, when they were being forcibly removed from the land, they drank poison and have been admitted to hospital.
