India’s Ministry of External Affairs on Sunday said it is closely tracking the situation in Venezuela as tensions remain high following recent US military action. Calling the developments a matter of deep concern, the MEA reiterated India’s support for the safety and well-being of the people of Venezuela. The ministry noted that the situation continues to evolve rapidly, prompting close diplomatic monitoring. Earlier, Indian nationals were advised to avoid all non-essential travel to the country amid growing uncertainty. New Delhi stressed the need for stability and protection of civilians, while underlining that India remains engaged through appropriate diplomatic channels as events unfold in the crisis-hit South American nation.
