Highlighting the increasing number of violence incidents against the Sikh Community in Pakistan, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa on June 25 in Delhi raised concerns over the safety of the Sikh people in Pakistan and narrated the incident where two persons belonging to the Sikh Community were targeted under the same week in Peshawar. He further said that the Sikh population in Pakistan has severely dwindled down in the country since the independence. “The Sikh people are continuously being targeted in Pakistan. The Sikh population has drastically decreased in the country since the independence. A Sikh man was shot, but he was somehow rushed to the hospital. After that, another Sikh man was targeted. The minority there has absolutely no security. Despite two people being shot at, the Pakistan Government did nothing over it. The minority is very unsafe in Pakistan and the Sikhs are being compelled to leave Pakistan. The Pakistan Government has surrendered in front of the people in their country as the people are mostly Islamist,” Sirsa said. Video: ANI
