Speaking on Mamata Banerjee’s statement on the comparison of Manipur violence with West Bengal, BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar on August 13 said that she is lying before the country. He also mentioned that the situation in Bengal is different as there is political fight in the state. Sukanta Majumdar said, “Mamata Banerjee is lying before the whole country and especially West Bengal. Northeast has a history of this kind of violence. Secondly, a chosen government is there in Manipur, the government is trying to control the situation over there. The situation is different in Bengal, in this state there is a political fight. Yesterday, she was asking for evidence, doesn’t she have any shame.”
