‘Maha Yuddh in Maha Panchayat?’ BJP Trolls Congress Over Tharoor Remark, Suggests ‘Board of Peace’
New Delhi: The BJP on Friday trained its guns on the Congress over its continuing internal strife, with national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla taking a swipe at the party’s leadership. Reacting to remarks by a senior Congress leader that appeared to label Shashi Tharoor as “irrelevant,” Poonawalla said the Congress now needs a “Board of Peace” to handle its frequent infighting. He highlighted several reported factional battles within the party, including Rahul versus Priyanka Gandhi, DK Shivakumar versus Siddaramaiah in Karnataka, Ashok Gehlot versus Sachin Pilot in Rajasthan, and Tharoor versus the Kerala Congress leadership. The comments come amid intensifying political exchanges between the BJP and the Congress.
