Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain creates world record for largest display of oil lamps

Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain created a Guinness World Record on Saturday for the largest display of oil lamps. More than 18 lakh earthen lamps were lit on the occasion of Mahashivratri. The certificate was accepted by MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The record was previously held by the city of Ayodhya, which had lit 15.76 lakh earthen lamps at the 'Ram ki Paidi' during the Yogi government's Deepotsav celebrations.
