LNJP Medical Director terms Delhi Pollution as ‘Medical Emergency’

Medical Director of Delhi’s Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital, Suresh Kumar on November 06 said that the current situation of pollution in Delhi is nothing less than a medical emergency as the AQI is more than 500. Dr. Suresh Kumar also said, "Over the last couple of days, the Air Quality Index is very severe, it's more than 500, it means it is a medical emergency. People are complaining of breathlessness, sore throat, wheezing, cough, irritation in the eyes, restlessness...In LNJP, we are receiving daily 25-30 patients coming to the emergency department...We have to avoid these pollutants by just taking care of ourselves. We must wear the mask,"
