“Kulbhushan Jadhav’s detention illegal”, says External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar called for the release of Kulbhushan Jadhav, saying that his detention was illegal. Jadhav had been sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court under charges of espionage. The remarks came a day after the International Court of Justice ruled that Pakistan had breached the Vienna Convention by not giving consular access to Jadhav.
