Karnataka Polls: Congress promises to ban Bajrang Dal, PFI in manifesto

The Congress party on May 02 in its manifesto for the upcoming Assembly polls promised that it will take “decisive action” as per law to ban organisations like Bajrang Dal, Popular Front of India and others.Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge read an excerpt from the manifesto, “The Congress party is committed to taking firm and decisive action against individuals and organisations spreading hatred against communities on the grounds of caste and religion. We believe that law and Constitution are sacrosanct and cannot be violated by individuals and Organisations like Bajrang Dal, PFI or others promoting enmity or hatred, whether among majority or minority communities.” The manifesto was released by Mallikarjun Kharge in the presence of former CM Siddaramaiah and other leaders including DK Shivakumar and Pawan Khera.
