Justice Amrita Sinha dismisses probe officer, issues directives for evidence protection: WB Employment Scam

Lawyer and petitioner in West Bengal's Employment Scam in Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya informed ANI that Justice Amrita Sinha, who was hearing the case, issued two crucial directives, the first of which was that Mithelesh Mishra, who was in charge of the inquiry, was removed. Second, she directed that the inquiry continue with all expeditions, in accordance with the schedule established by ED. “Today Justice Amrita Sinha, while hearing the petition on the employment scam in West Bengal, passed two important directions... First, Mithelesh Mishra, who was in charge of the investigation, has been removed because, on the last occasion, when the court directed him to file the asset statements, he gave a list of assets that were frivolous... In court, he admitted that he had given them on the basis of a letter written by the lawyer of Abhishek Banerjee... This was irresponsible behaviour...Second, we pointed out that the date was allegedly fixed by SEBI, asking some persons to appear, but they have shown their defiance... They are trying to delay the investigations...This dragging will help the miscreants destroy this evidence... To that, the court said that the schedule as fixed by ED should remain unaltered...The investigation should be carried on with all expeditions...,” said Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya.
