Jammu and Kashmir DGP, Dilbag Singh on April 28 informed that the security forces intensified counter-terror operation in Poonch on April 28.“Counter-terror operations are underway in Poonch. 3-5 terrorists are involved in the Poonch terror attack, and 10-12 terrorists are active in the area. Such attacks can’t be carried out without local support. We are looking for the local hideouts of terrorists and their modules. Mostly they choose a place closer to the forest and get support from the locals. We are also looking for them in natural hideouts.,” said DGP Dilbag Singh.“The terrorists were provided shelter at one place and then provided transport to carry out the attack at another place. We are identifying the spot where the drone had dropped the weapons and cash,” he said. He said so far, 200 people were questioned and 12 suspects have been detained. He said with the arrest of Nisar, the investigation has got a direction and vital leads have been received so far,” added DGP, Dilbag Singh.
