Jammu and Kashmir: SP Vaid removed as police chief

The govt of Jammu and Kashmir has unceremoniously removed police chief SP Vaid and demoted him as the transport commissioner. Director General of Prison Dilbagh Singh will look after the force until a regular appointment was made. Principal secretary RK Goyal issued the official order late Thursday.
