Jagadish Shettar sides Sonia Gandhi over her ‘sovereignty’ remark
Amid the recent political slugfest between Congress and BJP over Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s ‘Karnataka sovereignty’ remark, former Karnataka Chief Minister and Congress leader Jagadish Shettar on May 08 in Hubballi sided with former Congress President and dubbed the matter as ‘question of interpretation’. “It is a question of interpretation. Congress never thinks about suppression of Karnataka or division of Indian,” Shettar said. Gandhi is in the eye of the storm created by the BJP over her ‘Karnataka sovereignty’ remark that she made during a speech in the state. With the state due for its Assembly Elections, the BJP took the matter to the EC and demanded action. The Karnataka Assembly Polls will be held on May 10, meanwhile, the results will be declared on May 13.
