ISRO: Risat-2BR1 radar imaging satellite to be launched into orbit on Dec 11
All eyes will be on the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) as it gears up to put another Risat-2BR1 radar imaging satellite into orbit on December 11. The satellite will be mounted on a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)-C48 rocket, the Risat-2BR1 will also carry four foreign satellites for free. ISRO reportedly also plans to launch another Risat-2BR2 radar imaging satellite with synthetic aperture radar soon after the December 11 mission. The satellites are intended to enhance the country’s defence surveillance capabilities.
