Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has hit out at the Centre over cancellation of some passenger trains for ensuring free passage of goods trains carrying coal to power stations. It may be recalled that due to low coal stock at many thermal power plants, the Centre had to cancel some passenger trains so that enough engines and track availability for movement of goods train can be available. With summer season hitting early, the power demand in the country has risen for which it is necessary to keep power plants running at full capacity.
