Indian students evacuated from Ukraine's Sumy return home

About 700 Indian students who were caught in the conflict zone of Ukraine's Sumy and were evacuated after a humanitarian corridor was agreed upon by the Ukrainian and Russian military, finally landed in India on March 11, 2022. The students were greeted at the airport by Union minister Anurag Thakur. The students were taken in buses to the central Ukrainian city of Poltava and from there they boarded a special train to reach Western Ukraine. After they crossed over to Poland, the students returned to India on three Operation Ganga flights.
