Union Minister for Communications, Electronics & Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw informed that India is now exporting telecom equipment to developed nations like United States of America, Germany and France. He further explained that this is happening because of increased manufacturing in the electronics industry. "In telecom equipment, India is exporting to developed countries, very complex equipment, like entire radio equipment that goes on to towers. The exports are happening to US, Germany and to France so that kind of eco-system has developed... PLI for IT hardwarres which will cover laptop, servers, tablets and high compute edge computers…” said Ashwini VaishnawMeanwhile, during the presser, the minister informed the media about a distinct change in India’s electronics industry. He also said that India’s electronics industry is driven by ‘export-led growth’.
