IMD predicts heavy rain, snowfall due to western disturbance

Director General of Meteorology Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra on January 01 said that western disturbance headed towards North west India will influence western Himalaya regions like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh. “Disturbances in these regions will cause heavy rain and snowfall from January 4 to 7” IMD Chief added.
