IAF Chief AP Singh Takes Sortie In MiG-29 Fighter Jet, Reviews Combat Readiness At Adampur Base
A strong signal of India’s air combat readiness came from Punjab as Amar Preet Singh personally flew a sortie in a frontline MiG-29UPG from the strategic Adampur Air Force Station. The visit was aimed at reviewing operational preparedness at one of the Indian Air Force’s key forward bases. The Adampur base had played a major role during Operation Sindoor when India strengthened air defence along its western front. Officials said the MiG-29UPG fighter jets remain a vital component of India’s aerial defence network, especially along the western and northern sectors. During the visit, the Air Chief reviewed squadron operations, aircraft maintenance standards and pilot readiness. He also interacted with technicians and ground crew who ensure that combat platforms remain mission ready at all times.
