Senior leaders of the INDIA bloc are expected to meet in New Delhi on June 8 to discuss opposition unity and formulate a joint strategy against the BJP-led NDA. Leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Mamata Banerjee, Uddhav Thackeray and Akhilesh Yadav are likely to attend. The meeting comes after recent Assembly election setbacks for key alliance partners. DMK is unlikely to participate, while efforts are underway to bring TVK into the opposition fold. Watch
