The locals of Manali on July 16, started the restoration work on their own after the devastating flash flood in Himachal Pradesh. People were seen removing the boulders and other obstructive materials from the path to the local market. According to the locals, the state and the central governments are helping them out in their move. “As of now, we have created our pathway to the market on our own. The state and the central government are helping us with this. The local MLA also visited this area. We will contribute to the redevelopment works as much as we can. The leftover things are being shifted to their places. We are trying to remove and restore whatever can be done by us. The electricity departs has worked so quickly and has been restored within three days,” said one of the locals.
