Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, on September 15 donated his personal savings to Aapda Rahat Kosh. He donated a total of 51 lakhs rupees to the campaign. Speaking to the media, he said that he was inspired to donate this money as even small children broke their savings to donate money for the Aapda Rahat Kosh. “This was my own personal savings. Since this Disaster Relief fund has come, many children contributed money from their piggy banks. In the Disaster Relief fund, all the officers, employees, and elderly pension employees have contributed according to their capacity...I collected my money from all three bank accounts and contributed to the Disaster Relief fund... I thought, if children can donate, then why can’t I, the Chief Minister do the same?…” said Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
