Visa issues hit UK travellers' plans to India. Visa applicants say not enough appointments available. India has said visa applicants need to be present in person at visa centres. Vikram Doraiswami, High Commissionner of India to UK, acknowledged the complaints and said, “We are ensuring more bookings are released on our online booking service and ensuring that these appointment modules are not being misused, which unfortunately has been the case. We are opening a new visa application centre in Glasgow, a new one in Central London.”
