Hotel guest registration system launched in Jammu to help police monitor suspicious activities

Seven Indian pilgrims were killed and nine others injured after a passenger bus carrying devotees slipped off a mountain road in central Nepal, police said. The pilgrims were returning after visiting the revered Manakamana Temple, a popular Hindu shrine where devotees believe the goddess fulfills wishes. The accident occurred near Shahid Lakhan village, about 120 km west of Kathmandu. Officials said the bus was descending a road leading from the highway to the temple when it lost control on a curve and rolled nearly 150 meters down the mountainside before landing in a ravine. Seven Indian pilgrims died in the crash, while seven others were injured and taken to nearby hospitals. The Nepali bus driver and his assistant were also injured. Police and local villagers rescued the injured and transported them for treatment.
