There have been numerous reports of fire spreading in the forests of Uttarakhand. Multiple fires reported from the Tehri forest area and Kumaon. Rescue operations are underway in many areas. In some other areas around Binsar, villagers have taken it upon themselves to stop the fire. The Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is home to many wildlife species including leopard, black Himalayan bear, wild boars, etc.
