"History cannot be erased": Farooq Abdullah speaks out against removing Mughal rule from textbooks

Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah, expressed his opposition to the removal of Mughal rule from history textbooks. The Indian government's education board announced that it would trim the content related to Mughal rule, citing the need to reduce the "load" of the curriculum. Abdullah argued that history cannot be erased and that the Mughal period was a significant part of India's past. He urged the government to reconsider its decision and ensure that students receive a comprehensive education.
