Punjab Police on April 23 arrested Khalistan sympathizer Amritpal Singh from Moga. His parents said that Amritpal Singh surrendered and they were relieved that he is still in complete Sikh Saroop and has not trimmed his hair or beard. Amritpal Singh’s mother Balwinder Kaur said that her son surrendered as like a “warrior”. She said, “We saw the news that Amritpal surrendered. We are happy that he courted his arrest in complete Sikhi Saroop. He is a warrior and he surrendered like a warrior. I was worried for last 35-36 days. Now, we will fight legally.”“Amritpal himself has said that he has courted his arrest. We’ll get permission and meet Amritpal in Dibrugarh. We will fight the case legally. The whole Sikh community must fight for him as he was fighting against drugs.
