Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the Constitution, explaining that it is the only document which ties people in the country together. He also explained that the flexibility of the Constitution has helped immensely in bringing transforming the country, adding that it will have a major role to play in the formation of 'new India'. The PM made the statements while speaking on the occasion of National Law Day in the national capital at Vigyan Bhawan. He went on to say that the Constitution is sacred, and has kept the spirit of democracy alive. The Prime Minister went on to praise the makers of the Constitution, adding that after attaining independence, millions of people were brought under one umbrella.
