The number of patients suffering from dengue is continuously increasing in Gorakhpur informed Ashutosh Kumar Dubey, CMO, Gorakhpur. While interacting with the media he said that because of continuous rains, the city is witnessing a rise in cases. Speaking further, he informed that there are a total of 33 cases of dengue in Gorakhpur, who have recovered after treatment and gone home and that a total of 38 teams are monitoring wherever cases are being reported. “There are continuous intermittent rains, hence dengue cases are increasing and people are not paying attention to cleanliness and collecting water near their houses...people are paying less attention to precautions. Therefore cases have increased. All facilities have been provided in the hospital, all necessary medicines for dengue testing are available in the hospital...Our 38 teams are monitoring wherever cases are being reported. At present there are 33 cases of dengue in Gorakhpur, who have recovered after treatment and gone home”, said Ashutosh Kumar Dubey, CMO, Gorakhpur.
