FCI corruption case: CBI conducts searches across Punjab

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at 30 locations in Punjab on Tuesday in connection with corruption allegations against Food Corporation of India (FCI). This is the second round of searches in the FIR involving an organized syndicate of FCI officers who allegedly charged private millers bribes of Rs 1000-4000 per truck unloaded at FCI godowns per crop season in exchange for covering up lower quality grains supplied by them.
