Family of G Krishnaiah “disheartened” over Anand Mohan’s release from prison

Bihar Government’s move to tweak prison rule led to the subsequent release of former MLA Anand Mohan Singh from jail. Anand Mohan Singh was serving a life imprisonment sentence for the murder of then Gopalganj District Magistrate G Krishnaiah in 1994. Singh’s release from the jail has received criticism from the kin of late G Krishnaiah. “It's disheartening for us that Anand Mohan Singh has been released from jail today. The government should reconsider this decision. I request CM Nitish Kumar to give a second thought to this decision. With this decision, his government has set a wrong example. It is unfair not just to a family but to the whole nation. We will appeal against this decision,” said daughter of G Krishnaiah.
