In a major political move ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the BJP has expanded Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s cabinet with a strong focus on OBC and Dalit representation. The reshuffle is being seen as a strategic response to the Samajwadi Party’s PDA narrative and an attempt to rebuild key social coalitions after the BJP’s reduced tally in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh.
