Commissioner of Police, Delhi Rakesh Asthana inaugurated Cyber Police Station of West District, a Crèche and a Police Public Library in the premises of Hari Nagar Police Station. Two fresh public outreach initiatives that are “Ashirwaad” and “Smart Elder” were also introduced on the occasion. These initiatives aim to impart basic security awareness and orientation to Senior Citizens about using Social Media to sensitise them about new trends of Cyber Crime and measures to prevent them. This Cyber Police Station of West District, Creche and Police-Public Library were dedicated to the residents of West District. The establishment of Creche is a welfare gesture for working women staff of Delhi Police. The Police-Public Library is a community policing platform for students from the local community to gel with police personnel and their wards while preparing for studies. The chief guest also felicitated senior citizens, social contributors and other public men on this occasion.
