Cuttack cricketer incident: Police brief on investigation amid BJP’s protest against Odisha Cricket Association
In a death case that has left many shocked, a woman cricketer, Rajashree Swain, was found dead in a forest near Odisha’s Cuttack on January 13. The mysterious death where the woman was found hanging in the forest has been raising questions for the Odisha Cricket Association. Rajashree allegedly went missing on January 11 after the selection process did not go in her favour. Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra briefed on the investigation and informed about the details found out so far in the case. BJP on the other hand, took to the streets in protest against the incident and raised questions on the Odisha Cricket Association and the state government. Odisha Cricket Association also jumped in to defend their side and requested players to not take such steps if the selection goes sideways.
