Coursemates reunite as three Indian Service chiefs
Lt-General Manoj Mukund Naravane, Admiral Karambir Singh and Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria come together to head the Indian Armed Forces. Lt-General Naravane will take over as the 28th Army chief from General Bipin Rawat on December 31. Admiral Singh took over as the 24th Navy chief on May 31. ACM Bhadauria became the 26th Indian Air Force chief on September 30. The three Service chiefs joined tri-Service National Defence Academy back in 1976 as 17-year-old cadets. It is quite rare to see three NDA course-mates become chiefs of their respective services. This rare combination promotes a meaningful synergy among the Army, Navy, and IAF..
