BJP MP Anurag Thakur attacked Congress and Rahul Gandhi during a Lok Sabha debate on the government’s efforts against Naxalism. Thakur accused Congress of surrendering to left-wing extremism and creating the “red corridor,” saying the party inflicted one of the most painful wounds on India. He claimed Congress leaders repeatedly shirked responsibility, treating Naxalism as a local, developmental, or police issue, and never addressed it seriously at its roots. Thakur praised Union Home Minister Amit Shah for showing resolve to end Naxalism. He stated that, thanks to the Modi government’s efforts, the country is now on the verge of being free from the decades-old Naxal problem, with eradication expected in the next two days.
