Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra retires on October 2nd. In his tenure of one year and one month in the top post in the judiciary, Misra or a bench led by him has pronounced several key judgments, some of which are truly historic - which have impacted the lives of all Indian citizens. Among the 10 noteworthy rulings are: 1. Consensual adult gay sex is not a crime, 2. Declaring Aadhaar constitutionally valid, but defanging it by weeding out provisions that had potential for misuse, 3. Decriminalisng adultery by striking down Section 497 of IPC, 4. Making passive euthanasia a reality by allowing individuals to draft a "living will", 5. Declaring practice of triple talaq unconstitutional,
