India’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan, has delivered a dramatic warning: “If you want peace, prepare for war.” Speaking ahead of the ‘Ran Samvad’ seminar at the Army War College in Mhow, CDS Chauhan highlighted that future wars will be far more dangerous, expanding beyond land, sea, and air to cyber and space domains. He stressed that victory will only be possible through joint planning and coordination between the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Referencing lessons from Operation Sindoor, the CDS underlined that India must embrace jointmanship, modern warfare doctrines, and new technologies to counter threats from information warfare, grey zone conflicts, and advanced enemy capabilities. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will address the closing session, underscoring India’s determination to modernize its military strategy.
