Budget 2021: FM announces over Rs 3 lakh cr scheme to reform power distribution sector

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced to strengthen the infrastructure in the power sector. She announced that consumers will be given the option to choose from more than one distribution companies. Research-based scheme with an outlay of Rs. 3,05,984 cr will be launched for reform in the power distribution sector.
