BJP Names Suvendu Adhikari As West Bengal’s First BJP Chief Minister
Amit Shah said the people of West Bengal placed their faith in the Bharatiya Janata Party despite violence and threats during the Assembly elections. Speaking at the BJP legislature party meeting in Kolkata, Shah congratulated Suvendu Adhikari after he was elected leader of the BJP Legislative Party and referred to him as the next Chief Minister of Bengal. Shah also linked the BJP’s victory to the ideological legacy of Syama Prasad Mookerjee and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Watch
