While Nepal continues to grapple with the aftermath of a devastating earthquake that claimed over 157 lives, the nation was struck by another quake, registering a magnitude of 3.6. The seismic event occurred in the early hours of Sunday, at 04:38:20 (IST), with its epicenter located 169 km northwest of Kathmandu and a depth of 10 km, as reported by the National Centre for Seismology. This additional earthquake followed a significant magnitude 6.4 tremor on the Richter Scale that shook Nepal late on Saturday, along with subsequent aftershocks, including one measuring 3.3 in magnitude on Saturday afternoon, adding to the challenges faced by the affected population and testing the region's resilience. Nepal's Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, assessed the situation and visited the affected areas earlier in the day, acknowledging the extensive damage.
