‘Attar’ sales boost up in Srinagar during ‘Ramadan’

The holy month of ‘Ramadan’ is going on in the country and during this month, people prefer non-alcoholic traditional perfumes, ‘attar’. Hence, the demand for these perfumes has increased in Srinagar. ‘Attar’ perfumes are made by natural flowers after processing them for months and are available in various fragrances including ‘gulab’, ‘chameli’, ‘Nargis’, musk, and ‘kesar’. The business of ‘attar’ perfumes also blooms during ‘Ramadan’ due to increasing demands. ‘Ramadan’ is a month-long Muslim festival and is celebrated by fasting and devoting to Allah.
