Army, J&K Police And CRPF Launch Anti Terror Joint Op In Gambhir Muglan Area J&K

The Indian Army’s White Knight Corps has confirmed that a joint anti-terror operation is underway in the Gambhir Muglan area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir after contact was established with suspected terrorists on Sunday morning.According to the Army, the operation began following specific intelligence inputs regarding terrorist presence in the region. The joint operation is being carried out by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF personnel.Officials said that a firefight broke out after security forces established contact with the terrorists at around 11:30 AM yesterday. Forces have now effectively cordoned off the area while search operations continue in the dense forest terrain.No official confirmation has yet been issued regarding the number of terrorists trapped or any casualties in the operation. Authorities have also deferred visuals and live operational details due to security concerns.The Rajouri-Poonch belt remains a key focus area for counter-terror operations amid continued attempts by terror groups to use forest routes and mountainous terrain for movement and infiltration.
