As the tension between Assam and Mizoram continues, Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga said that Armed Assam Police personnel crossed over to Mizoram and overran police post. Speaking to ANI, CM of Mizoram said, “In the meeting, it was discussed that the border issue should be amicably solved. The next day, Assam Government sent more than 200 Assam police forces fully armed preparing for the war. They crossed over Mizoram and overran and captured Mizoram CRPF. Fighting broke out because they captured our CRPF and unfortunately 6 Assam policemen died. On our side, one policeman got injured. It is very unfortunate.”
