Amid Tensions, Iran Allows Two Indian LPG Ships Carrying 90,000 MT Fuel To Sail Out Safely

Two Indian Very Large Gas Carriers, BW Tyre and GREEN SANVI, have been cleared to depart the Persian Gulf, each carrying over 45,000 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas. Together, the vessels are transporting more than 90,000 metric tonnes of LPG, ensuring a vital supply of cooking gas for households across India. The shipment comes at a crucial time, helping ease domestic supply pressures and maintain steady availability. Officials say the movement reflects India’s proactive strategy to secure essential energy resources amid global uncertainties. The development strengthens the country’s energy security framework and supports millions of consumers who rely on LPG for their daily cooking needs.
