Airports Authority of India celebrated its 28th Annual Day at the Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Road Transport and Highways, General V.K. Singh (Retd.), Secretary of Ministry of Civil Aviation, Rajiv Bansal, and the Chairman of Airports Authority of India (AAI), Sanjeev Kumar graced the occasion. General V.K Singh (Retd.) the chief guest of the event congratulated the employees of Airports Authority of India for achieving tremendous growth in India’s aviation sector. The chairman of Airports Authority of India, Sanjeev Kumar in his speech stressed upon enhancing airports infrastructure and air connectivity in the country. He also spoke about the new projects taken up by the Airports Authority of India. The guest of honour, the secretary of ministry of civil aviation, Rajiv Bansal congratulated Airports Authority of India for achieving a record target of 5000 Crore of Capital Expenditure in the financial 2022-23. He commended the efforts of Airports Authority of India in reviving the aviation industry after a long haul owing to COVID-19. The celebrations were filled with music and dance performances by renowned singers and artists. The chairman on 28th annual day celebrations of Airports Authority of India conveyed his best wishes for the employees of the organization. He affirmed that the Airports Authority of India will continue to endeavour for the growth of civil aviation industry in the country. Airports Authority of India is a Mini Ratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Civil Aviation of Govt of India and manages more than 130 airports in the country.
