Israel’s Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana along with its parliamentary delegation arrived at Nariman House in Mumbai on April 04.He said, “Visiting this place phrases two issues that are close to my heart. One is ‘Khabaad’ which symbolises the love of mankind and bridges the gap between us. The second one is counter-terrorism, on which I spent over 12 years of my life at a security agency.”“My decision as to where would my first visit as Israel’s Knesset Speaker would be was that India has very impressive people with rich history, actually both nations, with great respect for their traditions,” he added.Earlier on April 03, the Speaker discussed bilateral ties between the two countries with EAM S Jaishankar in New Delhi. Moreover, the Israeli Speaker also called on Vice President, Chairman of Rajya Sabha Jagdeep Dhankhar and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla at the Parliament House on April 03. The Israeli Parliamentary Delegation is on an India visit till April 04.
